ABOUT HENRIK SAHL
The portrait painter Henrik Sahl is in part autodidact. Through the years he has painted a large number of portraits of private and public persons, often with faculty and university connections. In addition to portraits, nature and country scenery with hunting, shooting, and fishing motives have been painted. Henriks Sahl's works are, among other collections, in the "Dahi Gallery", on Hvidovre and Bispebjerg Hospital.
Early paintings were all oil on canvas, and oil colours are still the most frequently used, but from 2004 paintings with acrylic technique have also been performed. Latest, Henrik Sahl is associated with the artist group "Indigo".
